1961-017 AN 0RDINANOE APPOINTING A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, IN AGOORDANCE WITH SEOTION 7.20 OF THE CITY
OHARTER! PROVIDING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO MEMBERS OF
SAID BOARD; AND DEOLARING AN EFFEOTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, i$ a~ears to the City Council that Joe Skiles, Raymond
Pitts and Clayton Atktns have the qualifications for members of the
Board of Equalization as provided in Section 7 20 of the City Charter;
now therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SEOTION 1. That the said Joe Skiles, Raymond Pitts and 01ayton
Atkins be and they are hereby appointed members of %he Board of Equali-
za%ion of the City of Denton, Texas, for the year 1961.
SECTION. 2. That Joe Skiles be and he is hereby appointed Chairman
of the Beard.
SECTION 2' Each member of the Board shall serve without pay.
SEOTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
mrs passage.
