WHEREAS, Denton Industrmes, Incorporated, has made applzcatzon
for a change of zoning classlflcatzon of the property hereinafter
described from the "R" - Dwellmng Dlstrmct to the "LI" - Lmght
Industrllal D~strlct, and
~REAS, it appears desirable to hold the public hearzng of the
City Council on such applmcat~on jointly w~th the public hearing
requmre~ to be held by the Plannzng and Zoning Commzss~on, under the
provisions of Article 1011f, Revised Clvzl Statutes of Texas, as
amended Iy Acts 1961, 57th Leg , ~ 570, ch 267, sec 1, now therefore
TH~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION i That a Joint public hearing of the Planning and
Zonzng ~ommlsslon of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and the City Council

of the ~zty of Denton, Texas, shall be held on March ~ ~ , 1962,
in the ~ouncll Room in the Municipal Building of the City of Denton,
Texas, t 4:00, p m , to consider the application of Denton Industries,
Incorpo ated, to amend the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas,
1961, as adopted under the provlsmons of Ordznance No 61-19, so as
to chan~e the classification of the hereinafter described property
from th~ "R" - Dwelling Dlstrzct to the "LI" - Lmght Industrial
Dlstrlc~-
Ai~ that certain tract or parcel of land situated in
the Eugene Puchalskl Survey, Abstract 996, in the City
and County of Denton, Texas, located between West Prairie
and West Hickory Streets and East of proposed Highway
35~W, and being off the South side of a tract deeded by
Alfred A Grant, III, et al to J Newton Rayzor on
7/21/1956, recorded in Volume 425, Page 456, Deed Re-
cords of said County and being more particularly de-
scribed as follows-
BEGINNING on the South ~ne of said Grant to Rayzor tract
at its intersection with the proposed East right-of-way
of U S Highway 35-W at a point 320 0 feet East of the
intersection of said South line with the ex.sting r~ght-
or.way of Highway 35-E, said beginning point being 2499 6
feet East of the Southwest corner of said tract, steel
pin for corner,
THENCE Northwesterly with a curve of approximate radius
of 3200 0 feet along said proposed right-of-way 320 0
feet to a steel pin for corner,
T~ENCE East 936 8 feet to a steel pin for corner,
THENCE South 258 9 feet to a steel pan for corner in the
South line of said Grant to Rayzor tract,
THENCE West 748 8 feet to the place of beginning, con-
tanning in all 5 00 acres of land
S~CTION 2 That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
