election was held in the City of Denton, Texas, resulting favorably to the
issuance of $1,600,000 00 of revenue bonds for the purpose of improving and
extending the City's Wate~rks System and $2,600,000 00 of revenue bonds for
the purpose of improving and extending the City's Sewer System, and
~REAS, on J~ly 12, 1960, the City Council of the City
of Denton, Texas, passed an ordinance directing the issuance of $1,700,000 O0
City of Denton, Texas, Water and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, Series 1960, dated
July 15, 1960 (hereinafter called "Series 1960 Bonds"), and
~, said bonds above described and said authorizing
ordinance reserved to the City the right to issue Additional P~rity Revenue
B~ads, under the conditions set forth in Section 19 of said Series 1960
authorizing ordinance, and
~S, the conditions prescribed in Section 19 of said
1960 authorizing ordinance have been i~lfilled and exist so that the City now
has authority under said Section to issue the Additional Bonds herein
authorized, and
~, at this time it is considered proper to sell
only One Million ($1,000,000 00) Dollars of bonds, to-wit $ ~00~000 O0
for the purpose of improving and extending the Waterworks System and
$ ~00,000 00 for the purpose of improving and extending the Sewer System
reserving the right to the City to sell all or any part of the remaining

all to be considered when issued as a part of the same series of indebtedness
insofar as liens and rights are considered, and

the City that said bonds be authorized in one issue secured by a first lien
on and pledge of the net revenues from the operation of the City's Waterworks
and Sewer System, and

and extending the existing Materworks and Sewer System of the City of Denton,
Texas, pursuant to the Constitution and Statutes of the State of Texas, in-
cluding particularly Articles 1111 to 1118, both inclusive, 1925, Revised
Civil Statutes of Texas, as amended, and Chapter 163, Acts of the Regular
Session of the Forty Second Legislature, as amende~, there shall be issued
"City of Denton, Texas, Mater and Sewer System Revenue Bon~[s, Series 1962",
aggregating One Million ($1,000,000 00) Dollars, numbered One (1) to One
Thousand (1,000), both inclusive, of the denomination of One Thousand
($1,000 00) Dollars each
2 That aaid bonds shall be dated January 15, 1962, and
shall bear interest at the rates as follows

Texas, a municipal corporation duly mncorporated under the laws of the State
of Texas, for value received, hereby acknowledges itself indebted to and

The City reserves the right to issue additional parity
revenue bonds (including the $945,000 00 Waterworks Improvement and Extension
Revenue Bo~ds and the $1,365,000 O0 Sewer Improvement and Extension Revenue
Bonds authorized at the election held on January BO, 1960, not being issued
at this time) for weterworks and sewer Improvements and extensions, under the
conditions stated in the ordinance authorizing this issue of bonds, payable
from the same source as are the Bonds of this issue
This bond and the series of which it is a part, together
with City of Denton~ Texas, Water and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, Series 1960,
dat$i July 15, 1960, constitute special obligations of the City of Denton,
Texas, payable both as to principal and interest from and secured by a first
lien on and pledge of the net revenues of the City's Waterworks and Sewer
System, and the holder hereof shall never have the right to demand payment
of this obligation out of any funds raised or to be raised by taxation
Each successive holder of this bond and each successmve
holder of each of the coupons hereto attached, is conclusively presnmed to
forego and renounce his equities in favor of subsequent holders for value
without notice, and to agree that this bond and each of the coupous hereto
attached, may be negotiated by delivery by any person having possession
hereof, howsoever such possession may have been acquired, and that any holder
who shall have taken this bond or sm4y of the coupons from any person for
value and without notice, thereby has acquired absolute title thereto, free
f~ any defenses enforceable against any prior holder and free from all
