CITY OF D~NTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS
ADOPTED AS A PART OF PARTS II AND III OF
CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO.
61-19, AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO CERTAIN PRO-
PER~"f NORTH OF MISSION STREET AND EAST OF
HIGHWAY 377 IN THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AN~ MOPE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, SO
AS TO REMOVE SAID PROPERTY FROM THE "R" -
DWELLING DISTRICT AND PLACING THE SAME IN THE
"HI" - HEAVY IND~;STRIAL DISTRICT, AND DE-
CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton,
Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of
Chapter 13 of the code of Ordinances of the City of Denton,
T~xas, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 61-19 be,
and the same is hereby, amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property is here-
by removed from the "R" - Dwelling District
as shown on said map, and all provisions of
Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, as
provided by Ordinance NO 61-19, shall here-
after apply to said property as "HI" - Heavy
Industrial District property in the same manner
as other property located in the "HI" - Heavy
Industrial District
A 68 12 acre tract in the Wm Daniel
Survey, Abst 375, located north of
Mission Street and east of Highway
377 designated by the City Map of the
City of Denton, Texas, as Lot 6,
Block 233C.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Denton,
Texas, hereby finds that such change is in accordance
w~th a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting
the general welfare of the City of Denton, and with
reasonable consideration, among other things, for the
character of the district and for its peculiar suita-
bility for particular uses, and with a view to conserv-
ing the value ~f buildings and encouraging the most
appropriate use of such land for the maximum benefit
to the City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens
SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately after its passage and
approval, the required public hearings having hereto-
fore been held by the Planning and Zoning COmmission
and the City Council
