CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, ~961, AS SAME WAS
ADOPTED AS A PART OF PARTS II AND III OF
CHAPTER 15 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO
61-19, AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO CERTAIN PRO-
PERTY IN THE EAST ~ OF BLOCK B, BLOUNT ADDI-
TION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, SO AS TO RE-
MOVE SAID PROPERTY FROM THE nA-2tt DWELLING
DISTRICT AND PLACING THE SAME IN THE "LB" -
LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS

Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of
Chapter 13 of the Code of 0rdmnances of the City of Denton,
Texas, under the provisions of 0rdanance No. 61-19 be,
and the same is hereby, amended as follows
Ail of the herexnafter described property ~s here-
by removed from the '~A-2" - Dwellmng Dmstrxct as
shown on sand map, and all provasxons of Parts II
and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of 0rdanances of
the Caty of Denton, Texas~ as provaded by Ordanance
No 61-19, shall hereafter apply to sand property as
"LB't - Local Bus~ness Distract property an the same
manner as other property located ~n the "LB" - Local
Business Dmstract~
All that certaan tract or parcel of land
smtuated ~n the Wm Lovan~ Survey, Abst No
759, ~n the City and County of Denton, State
of Texas, located between South Locust Street
and Wainwright Street and between ltaghland
Street and Mall Street, beang the East ½ of
Block B, Blount Addition to the Caty of Denton,
Texas
~C_~T~ON 2 The City Council of the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, hereby fmnds that such chan~e ms an accordance with
a comprehensmve plan for the purpose of promoting the general
welfare of the C~ty of Denton, and wath reasonable consxdera-
rich, among other things, for the character of the dastrmct
and for xts peculxar suitabllmty for partmcular uses, and
with a view to conservzng the value of buzldmngs and en-
couraging the most appropriate use of such land for the
maxxmum benefzt to the City of Denton, Texas, an~ its
citxzens

force and effect mmmediately after mrs passage and approval,
the required publmc hearings havzng heretofore been held
by the Planning and Zonzng Commzssmon and the Czty Councml
