1962-030 AN ORDINANCE RECEMN~ AND ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
IMPROVING CRESCENT STREET, AND SUNDRY OTHER STREETS
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, IN THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
WITHIN THE LIMITS HEREINAFTER DEFINED, PERFORMED
BY PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1.
That the work of improving the following streets and por-
tions thereof in the City of Denton, Texas, to wit

by excavating, grading and paving the same, by the installation of
drainage facilities therein, and by the construction of curbs and
gutters where the Director of Public Works determined that adequate
curbs and gutters did not exist, such paving consisting of a two
inch (2") Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete pavement on a six inch (6")
line stabilized base, and doing of other work incidental thereto,
all aslprovided for in, and in accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations for such improvements, having been performed and completed
in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Contract and the
plans and specifications therein contained, dated August 21, 1961,
between the City of Denton, Texas, and Public Construction Company;
and the Director of Public Works of the City of Denton having
measured, examined and caused to be tested the finished improve-
merits by the means and in the manner provided for by the terms
of such contract and the plans and specifications therein contained,
and the said Director of Public Works having found that such im-
provements have been constructed and completed in full satisfaction
and compliance with the terms of such contract and the plans and
specifications therein contained, and having approved and accepted
said i~provements and work and having heretofore issued his
Certificate of Acceptance, and having so certified to the City
Council of the City of Denton, Texas, and having recommended that
such City Council accept and receive said work and improvements
as constructed by the said Public Construction Company, and said
work and improvements having been found by the City Manager, the
Mayor and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, to have
been performed and completed in full satisfaction and compliance
with the terms of said contract and plans and specifications, the
same are hereby now accepted and approved by said City Council of
the City of Denton, Texas°
SECTION 2~
That the Mayor and the City Secretary of the City of Denton,
Texas, are hereOF authorized and directed to issue assignable special
assessment certificates payable to the City of Denton, Texas, evi-
dencing the assessments against the property improved abutting upon
said streets within the limits above defined, and against the real
and true owners thereof, which, by the terms of Ordinance No. 61-16,
passes and approved on the llth day of July, A D. 1961, have hereto-
fore been authorized, said assessment certificates to be executed in
the name of the City of Denton, Texas~ by the Mayor and the City
Secretary thereof and impresses with the seal of said City, and
dated as of the date of this ordinance, and such officers are hereby
authorized and directed to execute said certificates in their official
capacities on behalf of said City°

This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and approval°
PASSED AND APPROVED this llth day September, A.D. 1962,
by an affirmative vote of four-fifths (4/5) or more of the City Council.
