AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS
ADOPTED AS A PART OF PARTS II AND III OF
CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO. 61-19,
AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO CERTAIN PROPERTY ~BUT-
TING ON WEST PRAIRIE STREET IN THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN; AND DBCLARINO AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS'
SECTION it That the Zoning Map of the City of
Denton~ Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and
III of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Denton, Texas, under the provisions of Ordinance No.
61-19 be, and the same is hereby, amended as follows-
Ail of the hereinafter described property is
hereby removed from the "R"- Dwelling District
as shown on said map, and all provisions of Parts
II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances
of the city of Denton, Texas, as provided by
Ordinance No. 61-19, shall hereafter apply to said
property as "A-2"- Dwelling District property in
the same manner as other property located in the
"A-2"- Dwelling District
Ail that certain lot or parcel of land situated
in the City and County of Denton, Texas, and
being more particularly described as follows
Being all of Lots 1 through 10, inclusive,
Block 3018 and Lots i through 10, inclusive,
Block 3020 as shown on the Official City
Map of the City of Denton, Texas.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Denton~
Texas, hereby finds that such change is in accordance with
a aomprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the
general welfare of the City of Denton, and with reasonable
consideration, among other things, for the character of the
district and for its peculiar suitability for particular
uses, an~ with a view to conserving the value of buildings
and encouraging the mOSt appropriate use of such land for
the maxin~m benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its
cl~izens.
~ That this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately after its passage and approval,
the rec~ired public hearings having heretofore been held
by the Planning and Zoning COa~ission and the City Council.
