TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT A VIOLA~N OF THE ORDINANCE SHALL
NOT BE A MISDEMEANOR NOR SHALL ANY FINE BE APPLICABLE,
PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT OF SUCH ORDINANCE BY INJUNC-
TION IN THE DISTRICT COURT~ AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1.
That pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Annexation
Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session,
1963, compiled as Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes)
authorizing any city to extend the application of its ordinance
establishing rules and regulations governing plats and the sub-
division of land to all areas under its extraterritorial 3urlsdlc-
tion as defined in such Act, Part I of Chapter 13 of the code
of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, Articles 13.01
through 13 09, inclusive, establishing rules and regulations
governing plats and the subdivision of land is hereby extended
in its application to include all of the area within the extra-
terrlitorial jurisdiction of the C~ty of Denton, Texas. The pro-
visions of such ordinance shall have the same force and effect
within said area of extraterritorial 3urlsdlctlon as the effect
w~thln the corporate limits of the City of Denton, Texas, except
as provided in Section 2 and 3 of this Ordinance
SECTION 2
No violatbn of any provIsion of such Part I of Chapter 13
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, Articles
13.01 through 13.09, Inclusive, outside the corporate limits of
the City of Denton, but within the City of Denton's area of
extraterritorial 3urlsdiction, shall constitute a misdemera~or
under such Ordinance, nor shall any fine provided for in such
Ordinance be applicable to a violation within such area of
extraterritorial 3urisdiction
SECTION 3
In the event any provision of Part I of Chapter 13 of
the ~ode of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, Articles
13.01 through 13 09, inclusive, is violated within the area
of extraterritorial 3urisdiction of the City of Denton, Texas,
and Outside its corporate limits, the City of Denton may
institute any appropriate action or proceedings in the District
Court to enjoin the violation of such ordinance
SECTION ,~
That this Ordinance shall become effective upon the
passage and approval thereof and the publication of the
full text of the Ordinance in the official newspaper of the
city,
