AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, 1961e AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF
PARTS ~I AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
'OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19
AND AS SAID NAP APPLIES TO ALL OF BLOCK 6, OWSLEY
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE
'PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton,
Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter
13 of the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
under the provisions of Ordmnance No 61-19 be, and the same
· s hereby amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property ~s hereby
removed from the "R"- Dwellxng Dmstrmct as shown on sa~d
map, and all provlslons of Parts II and III of Chapter 13
of the Code of Ordxnances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
as provided by Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter
apply to sa~d property as "A-2"-Dwell~ng D~strmct ~n the
same manner as other property located in the "A-2"-
Dwellmng D~strmct
All those certain lots, tracts or parcels of land situated
in the County of Denton, State of Texas, bemng known and
descrlbed as all of City Lots 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of Block 6, Owsley
Park Addition to the City of Denton, Texas
SECTION II That the C~ty Councml of the Cmty of Denton,
Texas, hereby fmnds that such change is in accordance wmth a
comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general
welfare of the City of Denton, and w~th reasonable consideration,
among other things, for the character of the d~strxct and for
zts pecular sultabllxty or partlcular uses, and w~th a v~ew to
conserving the value of bu~ldlngs and encouraging the most
appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefxt to the City
of Denton, Texas, and ~ts c~txzens
SECTION III That thxs Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect lmmedlately after lts passage and approval, the
required publlc hearings having heretofore been held by the
Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty Council
