1964-043 O I NCE NO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TE~S, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO BLOCK 1, SOUTHRIDGE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I. That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the provisions of Ordinance no 61-19 be, and the same is hereby amended as follows All of the hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the "R"-Dwelllng Dlstr~ct as shown on sa~d map, and all provisions of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, as provided by Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter apply to said property as "A-2"-Dwelllng District in the same manner as other property located an the "A-2" -Dwelling District All of Block 1 of Southrldge, a subdivision in the C~ty of Denton, Texas, consisting of 6 8 acres, described as follows BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Block 1, THENCE along the South Boundary Lane of Interstate 35E 583 12 feet, the Northeast corner of said block, THENCE along the East Boundary Line of said block with the West Boundary Lane of Woodbrook Drive 341 78 feet, THENCE along the South Boundary Line of Block 1 and the North Boundary Line of Hollyhlll Lane 478 3 feet, Southwest corner of Block 1, THENCE North with the East Boundary Lane of Southrldge Drive 377 57 feet, more or less to the Place of Beginning SECTION II That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that such change KS an accordance w~th a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, and with reasonable consIderation, among other things, for the character of the district and for its pecular suitability or particular uses, and with a view to con- serving the value of buildings and encouraging the most appro- priate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens SECTION III That this Ordinance shall be an full force and effect l~mledlately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and t Councl PASSED AND APPROVED this -J~day of _ , A.D 1964 Warren Whltson, Jr , Mayor C~ty of Denton, Texas ATTEST BrOoks Holt, City Secretary City of Denton, Texas APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM JJa~ Q Barton, City Attorney of Denton, Texas
