A~ DEC.RING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF T~ CI~ OF DENTON HEREBY OR. INS
SECTION I
That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton~, Texas,
~s hereby amended by substituting new Article 8 08 ~n Chapter
Eight of sald Code of Ordinances whlch article shall hereafter
read as follows
ARTICLE 8 08 - FIRE LIMITS
The F~re Lmm~ts of the Cmty of Denton, Texas, are
hereby established as follows, and all provmsmons of
the Building Code of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, as
amended, and of any other ordmnance of the C~ty or law
of the State of Texas referring to the territory
included ~n th~s Article
(a) F~rst F~re Dlstr~ct
All of the areas now and hereafter zoned "B"-Bus~ness
D~str~ct shall be ~ncluded ~n the F~rst F~re D~str~ct
(b) Second Flre Dzstr~ct
All of the areas now and hereafter zoned "LB"- Local
Business District shall be mncluded ~n the Second Fire
D~strmct
SECTIQN II
That all ordznances or parts of ordinances ~n force
when the provisions of thls ordinance became effectmve which are
~nconsxstent or ~n conflzct wmth the terms or provms~ons contained
~n thls ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such
confllct, except for Article 4 501, Ordinance n~er 64-22,
regulating fences~ which ordinance ~s in no part repealed
SECTION III
That xf any article, section, s~sectmon, paragraph,
sentence, clause phrase or word ~n thzs Ordinance, or application
thereof to any person or clrcumstances ~s held xnvalld by any
court of competent ]urlsdlct~on, such holdmng shall not affect
the val~dxty of the remaln~ng portmons of th~s Ordmnance, and
the C1ty Councll of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares
it would have enacted such remaining portmons despite any such
invalidity
SECTIO~ IV~
That thls Ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of ~ts passage, and the C~ty Secretary ~s
hereby directed to cause the oapt~on of thls Ordlnance to be
published twice in the Denton Record Chronicle w~th~n ten (10)
days of the date of ~ts passage~
