1964-041 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTONm TE~%S PROVIDING FOR APPEALS TO THE
BUILDING CODE BOARD FOR DENIALS OF PERMITS AND OTHER
DECISIONS BY THE ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR AND PLUMBING
INSPECTOR, EXTENDING THE BUILDING CODE BOARD'S
JURISDICTION TO INCLUDE PARTS II AND III IN cHAPTER
FOUR OF THE SAID CODE OF ORDINANCES! REPEALING
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I,
That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas,
Ks hereby amended to include new Article 4 601 an Part II of
Chapter Four, and new Article 4 78 an Part III of Chapter
Four, of said Code of Ordinances which shall hereafter read
as follows
Article 4 601 - Appeals to Building Code Board
Appeals from any decision of the Electrical Inspector
pursuant to the provisions of Part II of this Chapter
may be prosecuted to the Building Code Board an the same
manner and with the same tame limitations as provided
in Section ~ of Article 4 01, Part I, of this Chapter,
and the said Building Code Board shall have the same
powers and Quthorlty an Part II of this Chapter as those
provided for in Part I hereof
Article 4 78 - Appeals to Building Code Board
Appeals from any decision of the Plumbing Inspector made
persuant to the provisions of Part III of this Chapter
may be prosecuted to the Building Code Board an the
same manner and with the same tame limitations as provided
an Section ~ of Article 4 01, Part I, of this Chapter,
and the said Building Code Board shall have the same
powers and authority an Part III of this Chapter as those
provided for an Part I hereof
SECTION II,
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances an force when the
provisions of this ordinance become effective which are inconsis-
tent or an conflict with the terms or provisions contained an
this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extend of any such
conflict
SECTION III
That zf any sectzon, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in th~s Ordinance, or appllcat~on thereof
to any person or czrcumstances is held invalid by any court of
competent ]urzsd~ct~on, such holdzng shall not affect the valldzty
of the remalnlng portmons of thzs Ordlnance, and the City Councll
of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, hereby declares ~t would have
enacted such remaining portions despmte any such ~nval~dlty
SECTION IV
That this Ozd~nance shall become effectzve fourteen (14)
days from the date of zts passage, and the C~ty Secretary is
hereby d~rected to cause the caption of this Ordinance to be
published twice ~n the Denton Record Chronzcle w~thln ten (10)
