1964-023 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTONe TE~S, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF
PARTS II AND III OF cHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF DENTON~ TE~S, BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19,
AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO ~ BLOCK 9, LOTS NO 1
THROUGH 18 INCLUSIVE OF THE OWSLEY PARK ADDITION, AS
SHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON~
TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas,
1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of Ordinance No 61-19 be, and the same is hereby
amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property is hereby
removed from the "R" - Dwelling District as shown on
said map, and all provlszons of Parts II and III of
Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the Czty of
Denton, Texas, as provided by Ordinance No 61-19,
shall hereafter apply to said property as "A-2" Dwelling
Dlstrzct property in the same manner as other property
located in the "A-2" - Dwelling Dzstrlct
Ail those certain lots, tracts or parcels of land s~tuated
in the County of Denton, Texas, being known and described
as Lots No 1 through 18 inclusive, Block 9, of the
Owsley Park Add~tzon, to the City of Denton, Texas, shown
by the map or plat thereof of record in the County Clerk's
Office of Denton County, Texas
(This property lnclude~ an entire block bounded by Avenue I
on the West, Louise Street on the South, Charlotte Street
on the North and Avenue H on the East )
SECTION II The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive
plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the Czty
of Denton, and with reasonable consideration, among other things,
for the character of the district and for ~ts peculiar suitability
for particular uses, and with a view to conserving the value of
buildings and encouraging the most appropriate use of such land
for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its
citizens
SECTION III That th~s Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately after its passage and approval, the required
public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and
Zoning Con, mission and the City Cou~l
