1964-015 NO AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN NAMED STREETS RELEASED FROM CITY OF DENTON ASSESSMENT LIENS ARISING FROM THE 1961 ASSESSMENT PROGRAM, DECLARING THE UNFULFILLED PORTION OF SUCH ORDINANCE A~3LL AND VOID, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That Ordinance No 61-16 of the Clty of Denton, Texas, passed the llth day of July, A D 1961, ~s hereby declared null and void as to the below named Streets, and all City of Denton Assessment liens arising from sa~d Ordinance No 61-16 are hereby released to the property owners abutting such below named streets, to w~t (1) Bradshaw street from the South l~ne of McK~nney to the North l~ne of East H~ckory, and (2) Greenlee street from Neff street to Highway 35E, and (3) Hett~e street from the North l~ne of McK~nney to the South l~ne of Pa~sley Street, and (4) Maple street from the East l~ne of Myrtle street to the East l~ne of Center street, and (5) M~ll street from the East line of Johnson street to the West l~ne of H~ll street, and (6) East Oak street from the East line of Bradshaw street to the West l~ne of Wood street, and (7) Pa~sley street from the East line of Wood street to the West l~ne of Ruddell street, and (8) Rose street (East s~de) from the South llne of Lot 28, Block 165, to the South l~ne of Pa~sley street, and (9) Rose street (West s~de) from the South l~ne of Lot 14, Block 166, to the South l~ne of Pa~sley street. SECTION,II That all ordinances or parts of ordlnances ~n force when the provisions of th~s ordinance become effective which are ~ncons~stent or an confllct w~th the terms or prov~slons contained in this ordinance are hereby repea~ed to the extent of any such conflict SECTION III That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word ~n th~s Ordinance, or application thereof to any person or c~rcumstances ~s held ~nval~d by any court of competent 3urlsd~ct~on, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance, and the City Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have enacted such rema~nlng portions despite any such invalidity SECTION IV That th~s Ordinance shall become effectIve ~mmed~ately upon its passage and approval PASSED APPROVED th s day of ~_A_~.~.~ , A D 1964 Warren Whltson, Jr , Mayor City of Denton, Texas ATTEST C~ty of Denton, Texas APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM of Denton, Texas
