1964-008 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF
PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19,
AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO LOT 11 OF THE REPLAT OF THE
TN SKILES SUBDIVISION, AS SHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY
MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS~ AND MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton,
Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of Ordinance No 61-19 be, and the same Ks hereby
amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property is hereby
removed from the "R" - Dwelling District as shown on
said map, and all provisions of Parts II and III of
Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Denton, Texas, as provided by Ordinance No 61-19,
shall hereafter apply to said property as "LR" - Local
Retail District property in the same manner as other
property located an the "LR" - Local Retail District
Ail that certain lot, tract or parcel of land situated
in the City and County of Denton, Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows
Lot 11 of the replat of the T N Sklles subdivision,
in accordance with the plat shown of record 1n Volume 415
Page 409 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas
(lOcated South side of Sunset at Carroll Street)
SECTION 2 The C~ty Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive
plan for the purpose of promotlng the general welfare of the City
of Denton, and w~th reasonable conslderat~on, among other th~ngs,
for the character of the d~str~ct and for ~ts peculiar suitability
for particular uses, and with a vlew to conservIng the value of
buildings and encouraging the most appropriate use of such land for
the maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and its citizens
SECTION 3 That thls Ordinance shall be an full force and
effect l~amedlately after ~ts passage and approval, the required
public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and
Zoning Con~n~ss~on and the C~ty Council
