AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXA~ 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART
OF PARTS II AND III OF CF~APTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS~ BY~RDINANCE NO ~-
61-19, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO ~ BLOCK ~-~, SJJ//~
AS ISHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
TF~AS~ AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SEQTION 1~ That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton,
Texas, 1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of Ordinance No 61-19 be, and the same is hereby
amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property is hereby
removed from the "R" - Dwelling District as shown on
said map, and all provisions of Parts II and III of
Cha~ter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Denton, Texas, as provided by Ordinance No 61-19,
shall hereafter apply to said property as "LB" - Local
Bus,iness District property in the same manner as other
property located in the "LB" - Local Business District
Ail that certain lot, tract or parcel of land sztuat-
ed in the City and County of Denton, Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows
Lots 7 1, 7 2, 7 3 and 7 4 in City Block 232 of the City
of Denton, Texas, as recorded in the Plat Records of
De,ton County, Texas (Located on the North side of
Smith Street, West of Dallas Drive)
SECTION 2 The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive
plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City
of Denton, and, with reasonable consideration, among other things,
for the character of the d~strlct and for its peculiar suitability
for particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to conserving the value of
bulldlngs and enoourag~ng the most appropriate use of such land for
the maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton. Texas, and ~ts citizens
SECTION 3 That th~s Ordlnance shall be ~n full force and
effect ~mmed~ately after ~ts passage and approval, the required
public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and
Zoning Commission and the City Council
