1965-035 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND
ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, SITUATED IN
DENTON COUNTY, TEX~S, SAID LAND BEING KNOWN AS THE
MONTECITO ADDITION~ A SUBDIVISION OF DENTON COUNTY,
TEXAS, BEING A PART OF ABSTRACT ~498,1589 AND 1006,
CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS DWELLING DISTRICT PROPERTY,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the ordanance was lnatlally antroduced at a regular
meetang of the City Councal of the Caty of Denton,
Texas, on the 28th day of September, 1965, on the
petition of Robert A Nichols, andlvadually and as
President of Montecato Corporataon, and
WHEREAS, a description of thas ordanance has been publashed
an the offacaal newspaper of the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, as required by the statutes of the State of
Texas, and ~?
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a puhlac hearang held
for that purpose, for all anterested persons to state
thear vaews and present evadence bearing upon the
annexation provided by thas ordanance,
NoW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I.
That the hereinafter descrabed tract of land be and the
same, is hereby annexed to the Caty of Denton, Texas, and the
samells made hereby a part of saad C~ty and the land and any
present and future anhabitants thereof shall be entatled to
all the rights and pravaleges of other cat~zens of said Caty
and shall be bound by the acts and ordanances of saad Czty now
an e~fect or which may hereafter be enacted and the property
satu&ted therean shall be sub3ect to and shall bear ats pro-
rata, part of the taxes levaed by the Czty The tract of land
hereby annexed as described as follows, to wat
Satuated an Denton County, Texas, and being a part of the
Archabald Gabson Survey, Abstract No 498, Thomas E
Peacock Survey, Abstract No 1589, and the C Poullalaer
Survey, Abstract No 1006 and beang more fully descrabed
by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at a poant for corner 200 feet south of the South
Line of Hobson Road (70 foot wade road) saad point being
1320 feet West of the East Lane of said Archabald Gabson
Survey,
THENCE East 200 feet south of and parallel wath the south
line of Hobson Road, 2,077 91 feet to a point for corner

for corner,
THENCE South 15 deg 01 mln 00 sec East, 405 65 feet to
