1965-013 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ~P OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF
PARTS II AND III OF CI~APTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CiTY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO. 61-19,
AND AS SAID ~P APPLIES TO PORTIONS OF BLOCK 3026 OF
THE OWSLEY PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
'THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I.
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, 1961,
adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of Ordinance No. 61-19 be and the same is hereby
amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property 1s hereby
removed from the "R"- Dwellzng D~strzct as shown on sa~d
map, and all prov~slons of Parts II and III of Chapter 13
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas,
as provided by Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter
apply to sa~d property as "A-2" - Dwelling D~strlct ~n
the same manner as other property located ~n the "A-2" -
Dwelling Dmstrzct
C~ty lots 1~, 11, 12, 13 of Block 3026, located on the
North side of Stella Street at the corner of Avenue H
SECTION II.
That the C1ty Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby f~nds that such change zs ~n accordance with a compre-
hensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare
of the City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration,
among other th~ngs, for the character of the d~str~ct and for
its peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with a view
to conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most
approprlate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City
of Denton, Texas, and its citizens
SECTION III.
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately after 1ts passage and approval, the required
public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning
and Zoning Co~ss~on and the C~ty Council.
