AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, ~E~AS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF
PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO. 61-19,
AND AS SAID M~P APPLIES TO PORTIONS OF BLOCK 3021 OF
'THE OWSLEY PAI~K ADDITION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. A~D DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
.SECTION I.
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texase 1961,
adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the
Code of Ordlnances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of Ordinance No. 61-19, be and the same 1s hereby
amended as follows
Ail of the hereinafter described property Ks hereby
removed from the "R" - Dwelling D~strlct as shown on
sa~d map, and all provisions of Parts II and III of
Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the C1ty of
Dentone Texas, as provided by Ordinance NOo 61-19, shall
hereafter apply to said property as "A-2" - Dwelling
District ~n the same manner as other property located
· n the "A-2" - Dwelling District.
City Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Block 3021 1n the Owsley
Park Addition to the City of Denton Property is
located on the South s~de of Louise Street between
Avenue G and Avenue Ho
SECTION II.
That the C~ty Council of the Clty of Denton, Texas, hereby
f~nds that such change is ~n accordance w~th a comprehensive
plan, for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the
City of Denton, Texa~ and with reasonable conslderatlone among
other thlngse for the character of the d~str~ct and for 1ts
peculiar sultab~llty or particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to
conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most
appropriate uses of land for then~x~mum benefit to the City
of Denton, Texase and its citizens.
SECTION III.
That this ordlnance shall be in full force and effect
immediately after ~ts passage and approval, the required publzc
hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning
Con~nlsslon and the City Council.
