1965-018 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TE~S~ 1961~ AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART
OF PARTS II AND IIII OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE C~TY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDIN-
ANCE NO. 61-19, AN~ AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO A PORTION
OF BLOCK 10 OF THE COLLEGE VIEW ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF DENTON, TE~S, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I.
That the Zoning Map of the Caty of Denton, Texas, 1961,
adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter ~ of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the
provisions of Ordanance NOo 61-19 be, and the same ~s hereby
amended as follows
All of the hereinafter described property as hereby
removed from the "R" - Dwellang Dastract as shown on
said map, and all provlsaons of Parts II and III of
Chapter 13 of the Code of Orcknances of the Caty of
Denton, Texas, as provided by Ordanance NOo 61-19,
shall hereafter apply to said property as "LR" -
Local Retail Dastrlct an the same manner as other
property located in the "LR" - Local Retaal Dastract
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land an the Caty of
Denton, Texas, and being the west nanty feet of Lot 1
of Block 10 of the College Vaew Addataon. Property ~s
located at the intersection of East McKanney Street and
Ruddell Street, north side of East McKanney Street and
the east sade of Ruddell Street.
.SECTION II.
That the City Council of the Caty of Denton, Texas, hereby
fands that such change as an accordance with a comprehensive
plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the
City of Denton, Texas, and wath reasonable consaderataon, among
other things, for the character of the district and for ars
peculaar sultabzlaty or particular uses, and with a vaew to
conserving the value of bulldangs and encouragang the most
appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefat to the Caty
of Denton, Texas, and ars cltazens.
SECTION III.
That th~s ordinance shall be an full force and effect
· mmed~ately after ~ts passage and approval, the required public
hearings havzng heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning
CoK~lsslon and the City Councml.
