ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND EDWIN M. SNYDER AS THE CITY
ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF DENTON; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 27, 2007, the City of Denton renewed the Employment
Agreement ("Agreement') with Edwin M. Snyder ("Snyder") by Ordinance No. 2007-065; and
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement was end on December 31, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Agreement should be extended to end March
31, 2008; NOW, THEREFORE;
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble of this Ordinance are
incorporated into the body of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the extension of the Agreement to end
March 31, 2008 in accordance with the document attached hereto.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.

EXTENSION OF EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
This is to serve as an agreement between the City of Denton and Edwin M. Snyder to
extend his Employment Agreement dated March 27, 2007 through March 31, 2008 upon the
same terms and conditions.
