ORDINANCE NO. QO~~,~
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, NAMING THE SOCCER
BUILDING AT NORTH LAKES PARK, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Denton desires to name the soccer building at North Lakes Park,
in accordance with the Park and Facilities Naming Policy; and
WHEREAS, the chairperson for the Parks and Recreation Board appointed a committee
to develop a recommendation for naming the soccer building at North Lakes Park; and
WHEREAS, the naming committee proposed that the soccer building be named after
retiring Denton Youth Soccer Association President, Jane Malone, and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board recommends that the soccer building at
North Lakes Park be named the "Jane Malone Soccer Building", and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the recommendation complies with the
policy and guidelines regarding the naming of parks and park facilities and has also determined
that it would be proper and fitting to name the soccer building at North Lakes Park the "Jane
Malone Soccer Building"; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The soccer building at North Lakes Park shall now and hereafter be known
and designated as "Jane Malone Soccer Building".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
