2004-213AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR ANNUAL ALARM PERMITS AS PROVIDED FOR 1N SEC. 4-26 AND 4- 29 OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 4 "ALARM SYSTEMS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS; RI~PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Denton deems it in the public interest to create a fee for alarm system permits; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby establishes the following fees to be charged for alarm permits pursuant to Section 4-26 of the Code of Ordinances: An annual alam~ fee of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) SECTION 2. That a copy of this schedule of fees and charges shall be maintained on file in the office of the City Secretary. SECTION 3. That all ordinance or parts of ordinance in force when the provisions of this ordinance become effective which are inconsistent or in conflict with the terms or provisions contained in this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict. SECTION 4. That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares that they would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such invalidity. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 6~ ~/~ day of ~~ ,2004.
