AN ORDiNANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A 125 GALLON RUBBERIZED ASPHALT MELTER APPLICATOR,
PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFORE, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE (BID 2618 - 125 GALLON RUBBERIZED ASPHALT MELTER
APPLICATOR AWARDED TO CRAFCO TEXAS, INC 1N THE ESTIMATED ANNUAL
AMOUNT OF $34,640)
WHEREAS, the City has sohc~ted, received and tabulated competitive bids for the purchase
of necessary materials, equipment, supplies or services in accordance with the procedures of State
law and Cxty ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager or a designated employee has reviewed and recommended
that the herein described Nds are the lowest responsible bids for the materials, eqmpment, supphes
or services as shown in the "Bid Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the Cxty Counml has prowded in the C~ty Budget for the appropriation of funds
to be used for the purchase of the matenals, equipment, supphes or servmes approved and accepted
herein, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered xtems in the following numbered Nds for matenals,
eqmpment, supplies, or services, shown in the "Bid Proposals" on file ~n the office of Purchamng
Agent, are hereby accepted and approved as being the lowest responsible Nds for such items

SECTION II That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submxtted bids, the City accepts the offer of the persons submattng the Nds for such items and
agrees to purchase the matenals, equipment, supplies or services ~n accordance with the terms,
spemfications, standards, quantities and for the spemfied sums contmned in the BAd Invitations, Bid
Proposals, and related documents
SECTION III That should the C~ty and persons submlttxng approved and accepted aems and
of the submitted bids wish to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, and awarding of the bids, the City Manager or hm designated representative is hereby
authonzed to execute the written contract wNch shall be attached hereto, provided that the wntten
contract is m accordance with the terms, condmons, specfficatxons, standards, quantities and
spemfied sums contmned in the Bid Proposal and related documents herexn approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered xtems of the
submitted bids, the City Council hereby authorizes the expendxture of funds therefor in the amount
and in accordance w~th the approved bids or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized hereto
