AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING AN ANNUAL
CONTRACT FOR THE RECYCLINO OF APPLIANCES/CHLOPdNATED FLUOROCARBONS
(CFCS) AND POLYCHLORINATED BIPI{BNYL'S (PCBS), PROVDINO FOR TI-It!
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFORE, AND PROVDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (ED
2642-APPLIANCES/CFC/PCB RECYCLINO AWARDED TO WESLEY SALVAGE AT $11 95
PER APPLIANCE, ANNUAL ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $25,000)
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, received and tabulated competitive bids for the purchase
of necessary materials, equipment, supphes or services in accordance with the procedures of STATE
law and City orchnances, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Manager or a designated employee has reviewed and recommended that
the herren described bids are the lowest responsible Nds for the materials, eqmpment, supplies or
services as shown in the "B~d Proposals" subnntted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has prowded in the City Budget for the appropnatlon of funds
to be used for the purchase of the materials, eqmpment, supphes or services approved and accepted
here~n, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered ~tems in the following numbered bids for materials,
equipment, supplies, or services, shown m the "Bid Proposals" on file in the office of Purchasing
Agent, are hereby accepted and approved as being the lowest responsible bids for such ~tems

SECTION II That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered ~tems of the
subnntted bids, the City accepts the offer of the persons submltttng the Nds for such ttems and agrees
to purchase the materials, equipment, supplies or services in accordance with the terms,
specifications, standards, quanUnes and for the specified sums contatned ~n the Bid Invltanons, Bid
Proposals, and related documents
SECTION 11/ That should the City and persons subrmtt~ng approved and accepted items and
of the subrmtted bids wish to enter into a formal wntten agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, and awarding of the bids, the City Manager or Ns designated representative is hereby
authorized to execute the written contract wluch shall be attached hereto, provided that the written
contract is in accordance w~th the terms, conchnons, spemhcatmns, standards, quantlnes and
spemfled sums contmned in the Bid Proposal and related documents herein approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
subnutted bids, the C~ty Council hereby authonzes the expenditure of funds therefor in the amount
and ~n accordance with the approved bids or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized herein
SECTION V That th~s orchnance shall become effective ~mmed~ately upon its passage and
approval
