AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS FOR PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF DENTON FOR THE LOCAL SHARE OF THE
2001 AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (ALP) GRANT FOR THE DENTON MUNICIPAL
AIRPORT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTWE DATE (CHECK REQUEST DATED JULY 2,
2001 TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AVIATION DIVISION, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $216,297)
WHEREAS, In order to comply with the agreement requirements contmned In the 2001
Airport Improvement Project (AIP) Grant for the Denton Mumclpal Aa-port approved by Council on
May 16, 2000 (Ordinance No 2000-184) regulating the sponsors share (Local Match) funding, the
City of Denton is reqmred to pay such cost to the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation
DIvision, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed and recommended that the City Council approve
and authorize the payment of such, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the expenditure of funds in the amount of $216,297 to be paid to the
Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, in the specified amount on the letter dated
May 22, 2001 which is attached to and made a part of thlS ordinance for all purposes is hereby
authorized
SECTION 2 That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval
