AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A TRAII'.P.R MOUNTED SEWER CLEANING MACHINE, PROVIDING
FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFORE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE (BiD 2715 - TRAII.I~.R MOUNTED SEWER CLEANING MACHINE AWARDED TO
NEZAT TRAINING AND CONSULTING IN THE AMOUNT OF $80,000)
WHEREAS, the City has sohclted, recmved and tabulated competlttve btds for the purchase
of necessary materials, equipment, supplies or servtces m accordance wtth the procedures of STATE
law and City ordmances, and
WHEREAS, the Oty Manager or a destgnated employee has revtewed and recommended that
the herein described b~ds are the lowest responsible bids for the materials, eqmpment, supphes or
services as shown m the "Bid Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the Ctty Councd has provided tn the City Budget for the appropnanon of funds
to be used for the purchase of the materials, eqmpment, supphes or servtces approved and accepted
herem, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the numbered items tn the following numbered bids for materials,
eqmpment, supphes, or servtces, shown tn the "Btd Proposals" on file tn the offtce of the Ctty
Purchasing Agent, are hereby accepted and approved as being the lowest responsible bids for such
items

SECTION 2 That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submitted'b~ds, the C~ty accepts the offer of the persons submlttmg the bids for such items and agrees

spemflcat~ons, standards, quanttttes and for the specified sums contained in the Bid Invttat~ons, Bid
Proposals, and related documents
SECTION 3 That should the Ctty and persons submtttmg approved and accepted ttems and
of the submttted bids wish to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, and awarchng of the btds, the City Manager or hts destgnated representative is hereby
authorized to execute the written contract whtch shall be attached hereto, provided that the written
contract ts tn accordance with the terms, condmons, specifications, standards, quantittes and
spemfted sums contained m the Btd Proposal and related documents herren approved and accepted
SECTION 4 That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered ~tems of the
subnutted bids, the C~ty Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor m the amount
and ~n accordance w~th the approved b~ds or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized here~n
SECTION 5 That th~s orchnance shall become effective ~mmedtately upon ~ts passage and
approval
