AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROHIBITING PARKING ON
BOTH SIDES OF IOOF STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH HIGHLAND STREET
NORTH FOR 673 FEET, PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING
FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200 FOR
VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 When s~gns are erected glvlng noUce thereof, ~t shall be unlawfial for any
person at any t~me to stop, stand, park, or leave standing any vehicle on both sides of IOOF
Street from Highland Street north for 673 feet
SI~CTION 2 An ~ndlwdual adjudged guilty of the prowslons of this ordinance shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION 3 That thru ordinance shall be cumulative of all other orchnances of the C~ty
of Denton and shall not repeal any of the provisions of said ordinances except m those instances
where proms~ons of those ordinances are in direct conflict w~th the provisions of this ordinance
SECTION 4 That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word
in th~s ordinance, or apphcatlon thereof to any person or circumstance is held lnvahd by any
court of competent junsdlctlon, such holding shall not affect the vahdlty of the remalmng
port~ons of tins ordinance, and the City Cotmcfl of the City of Denton, Texas hereby declares it
would have enacted such remmmng portions despite any such lnvahd~ty
SECTION 5 That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days fi.om the date
of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of th~s ordinance to
be pubhshed twice in the Denton Record-Chromcle, the officml newspaper of the City of
Denton, Texas, w~thln ten (10) days of the date of its, passage
