AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND WITHIN THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND COMPRISING 24 3957
ACRES OF LAND LYING AND SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF
TEXAS AND BEING PART OF THE J AYERS SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 2 AND PART OF
THE B BURLESON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 65, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (A01-0010)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the of City Denton finds that it is m the public interest to
dlsannex that certain 24 3957 acre tract or parcel of land more fully described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference (the "Property"), and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held before the Planning and Zoning Commission and
City Council to allow all interested persons to state their views and present evidence beanng upon
this dlsannexatlon, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that the Property be
dlsannexed, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full one t~me in the official newspaper of
the City of Denton after dlsannexatlon proceedings were instituted and 30 days prior to City Council
taking final action, as required by City Charter, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 The City of Denton hereby dlsannexes the Property
SECTION 2 The City's official map is amended to show the dlsannexatlon of the Property
SECTION 3 Should any part of this ordinance be held illegal for any reason, the holding
shall not affect the remaining portion of this ordinance
SECTION 4 This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage and
approval

ALL that certmn lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being s~tuated ~n the County of
Denton, State of Texas and being part of a tract of land as conveyed from S R Rector, et
ux to S D Rector by deed recorded in Volume 247, Page 410 of the Deed Records of
Denton County, Texas, and also bemg part of the J Ayers Survey, Abstract No 2, and
part o£the B Burleson Survey, Abstract No 65, and more fully described as follows
BEGINNING at a point ~n the present city limits as estabhshed m the tract described ~n
Ordinance No 87-141, smd point lying 250 0 feet west of and perpendicular to the
eenterllne of IH 35, smd point also lying ~n the centerhne of an east-west county road
known as Rector Road,
THENCE south 82° 00' 00" west along sa~d centerhne of Rector Road a d~stance of
1033 58 feet to a nail for comer,
THENCE north 07° 28' 00" west passing at 40 0 feet an iron rod lying ~n the north right-
of-way line of smd Rector Road, passing at 150 0 feet, more or less, the north boundary
line of smd J Ayers survey, same being the south boundary hne of smd B Burleson
survey and continuing for a total d~stance of 620 68 feet to an iron rod for comer,
THENCE north 08° west a distance of 379 35 feet to a point for a comer, smd point lying
1000 0 feet north of and perpendicular to the centerhne of smd Rector Road,
THENCE north 82° east 1000 0 feet north of and parallel to the centerhne of smd Rector
Road a distance of 1093 96 feet to a point for comer lying ~n the present city hm~ts, smd
point also lying 250 0 feet west of and perpendicular to smd centerhne of smd IH 35,
