ORDINANCE NO O0 -D4
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS PROHIBITING PARKING ON
BOTH SIDES OF DUCHESS DRIVE FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH MCKiNNEY
STREET SOUTH FOR FOUR HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX FEET (446 FEET),
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1. When s~gns or markings are ~n place g~v~ng notme thereof, no person shall
park a vehicle upon the following street m the C~ty of Denton
On both s~des of Duchess Drive from ~ts ~ntersect~on w~th McK~nney Street south for four
hundred and forty-slx feet (446 feet)
~ The prows~ons of Section 1 prohth~t~ng the parking of vehmles shall apply
at all t~mes to the designated port~on of the above named street or streets except when ~t is
necessary to stop a vehmle to avoid conflmt w~th other traffic or m comphance with the &rect~on
of a pohce officer or officml traffic control dewce

w~th the prows~ons of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the
or&nantes of the C~ty of Denton, not in conflict w~th the provisions of th~s or&nanee, shall
remmn in full force and effect

or c~rcumstance ~s held ~nvahd, such ~nvah&ty shall not affect the other prows~ons or
apphcat~ons, and to th~s end the provisions of th~s or&nance are severable
~ Any person adjudged gmlty of parking a vehmle ~n violation of this
or&nance shall be gmlty of a m~sdemeanor and pumshed by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION 6 That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the
date of its passage, and the C~ty Secretary ~s hereby &rected to cause the caption of th~s
or&nance to be pubhshed twice ~n the Denton Record-Chromcle, the officml newspaper of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas, w~thm ten (10) days of the date of~ts passage
