THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
Section I That the City Secretary is directed to issue a Notice of Sale of Bonds in
substantially the following form
OFFICIAL NOTICE OF SALE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
$3,750,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
SERIES 2000
The City Council of the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas, will recmve sealed bids at the
Mummpal Building, 215 E McIrdnney Street, in the City of Denton until
11 00 a m, C D T, Tuesday, May 2, 2000
for the purchase of
$3,750,000 General Obhgation Bonds, Series 2000 to be dated May 1, 2000, and to mature
serially on December 1 of each year 2000 through 2020
Sealed bids, plmnly marked "Bid for Bonds", should be addressed to "Honorable Mayor and
City Councd, City of Denton, Texas", and must be submitted on the "Official Bid Form" to
be made available by the City Council prior to the date of sale
All sealed bids will be pubh¢ly opened and tabulated before the Council
COpies of the "Official Statement", "Notice of Sale", and "Official Bid Form" are being
prepared and vall be mmled to prospective bidders on or about April 18, 2000, and vall be
furmshed to any prospective bidder upon request, by First Southwest Company, 201 South
Mmn, State 1320, Fort Worth, Texas 76102, Financial Adv, sor to the City
The City reserves the right to reJeCt any and all bids and to wmve any and all irregularities

York, winch Is a national pubhcatlon regularly and primarily carr3nng financial news and mumctpal
bond sale notices, and smd Notice also shall be published once m the "Denton Record-Chromcle",
winch has been designated as the official newspaper of the City of Denton Smd publications shall
be made at least tinny days prior to the day set for recelwng bids
