AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF COPPELL RELATING TO
PARTICIPATION IN THE CITY OF DENTON CONTRACT WHICH PROVIDES
FOR THE PURCHASE OF OFFICE SUPPLIES AND SIMILAR MATERIAL, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE 2502 - INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
WITH CITY OF COPPELL)
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
Interlocal Agreement with the City of Coppell relating to participation in the City of
Denton contract wluch provides for the purchase of office supplies and similar material, a
copy of such agreement is attached hereto and incorporated by reference
SECTION II That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and approval

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN CITY OF COPPELL AND CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
This agreement Is made this ~~-O/ day of ,~/~./ , 2000, between the City
of Coppell, Texas and the C~ty of Denton, Tex~s~, both acting through their duly
authorized agents
WHEREAS, the contract ~s made as permitted under the authority of Chapter 271
V T C,A, Local Government Code, Cooperahve Purchasing Program and Sechons
791 001-791 029 of the Texas Government Code The C~hes of Coppell and
Denton wmh to enter ~nto th~s Interlocal Agreement to set forth the terms and
cond~hons upon which the C~tms of Coppell and Denton may purchase varmus
goods and serwces commonly uhhzed by both enhhes, and
NOW, THEREFORE, ~n consideration of the foregmng and the mutual promises,
covenants and obhgatmns as set forth herren, the C~t~es of Coppell and Denton
agree as follows
WITNESSETH
1 The C~hes of Coppell and Denton will work cooperabvely to prowde a program
for the purchase of various goods and serwces commonly uhhzed by both
C~t,ies (the Cooperabve Purchasing Program), and under such Program may
purchase goods and serwces from vendors under present and future contracts
w~th rather or both enhhes
2 The C~hes of Coppell and Denton may enter ~nto md~wdual contracts w~th
vendors under the Cooperahve Purchasing Program prowded for under th~s
Agreement The C~bes shallbe mdlwdually responsible for payment d~rectly to
the vendor and for the vendor's comphance w~th all conditions of dehvery and
quality of purchased ~tems under such ~nd~wdual contracts
3 The term of th~s Agreement shall become effective on the date of execuhon
and conbnue ~n full force and effect thereafter until terminated by rather party
on thirty (30) days written not,ce to the other party
