AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTiNG COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDiNG A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF 138KV CIRCUIT BREAKERS, PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS THEREFORE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID 2551 - 138KV
CIRCUIT BREAKERS AWARDED TO SIEMENS POWER TRANSMISSION AND
DISTRIBUTION, INC IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,750 EACH FOR TWO UNITS TOTALiNG
$109,500)
WHEREAS, the City has solicited, recetved and tabulated competttlve Nds for the purchase
of necessary materials, equipment, supplies or servmes tn accordance wtth the procedures of STATE
law and City ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the Ctty Manager or a destgnated employee has remewed and recommended
that the herren described bids are the lowest responmble Nds for the materials, eqmpment, supphes
or services as shown tn the "B,d Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the Ctty Cotmcfl has promded ~n the City Budget for the appropriation of funds
to be used for the purchase of the materials, equipment, supplies or servmes approved and accepted
hereto, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered ~tems tn the follow,ng numbered Nds for materials,
eqmpment, supplies, or services, shown m the "Bid Proposals" on file in the office of the Purchasing
Agent, are hereby accepted and approved as bmng the lowest responstble Nds for such ttems

SECTION II That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered ~tems of the
submitted bids, the City accepts the offer of the persons submitting the Nds for such ttems and
agrees to purchase the materials, eqmpment, supplies or services tn accordance wtth the terms,
specfficat~ons, standards, quantlttes and for the spemfied sums conta,ned tn the Bid Inmtattons, Bid
Proposals, and related documents
SECTION III That should the City and persons submttUng approved and accepted ~tems and
of the submitted bids wish to enter rotc a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, and awarding of the bids, the C~ty Manager or Ns destgnated representattve ~s hereby
authorized to execute the written contract whmh shall be attached hereto, provided that the written
contract ts in accordance w~th the terms, condtt~ons, specfficattons, standards, quanttUes and
specified sums contained tn the B~d Proposal and related documents herren approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submitted bids, the City Counml hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor ~n the amount
and an accordance wxth the approved b~ds or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized hereto
SECTION V That this ordinance shall become effective ~mmedlately upon its passage and
approval
