AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ASSIGNMENT PAY FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT
EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ASSIGNED TO PERFORM SPECIALIZED FUNCTIONS Of
FIELD TRAINING OFFICER IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Section 143 042 of the Local Government Code authorizes a munampalaty to
pay asmgnment pay which m in an amount and is payable under condat~ons set by ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Caty Manager and Fare Chtef having recommended that the Fire
Department employees are asmgned to perform the spec~ahzed duties of Faeld Trmmng Officer
should recmve asmgnment pay of Fffiy Dollars and No Cents ($50 00) per month, NOW
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1 That the Fare Department employees who are assigned to perform the
specialized dutaes of F~eld Trmmng Officer shall receave asmgnment pay of Fafty dollars and No
Cents ($50 00) per month an addatlon to the regular monthly salary for thear clasmficataon in the
fire department
SECTION 2 That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval
