AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR POLICE SEDANS, PROVIDING FOR THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID
#2314 - EQUIPMENT FOR POLICE SEDANS AWARDED AS LISTED BELOW IN THE
TOTAL AMOUNT OF $31,408 00)
WHEREAS, the C~ty has sohmted, recmved and tabulated compeUt~ve b~ds for the purchase
of necessary materials, eqmpment, supphes or sen, aces ~n accordance wath the procedures of STATE
law and City ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Manager or a desagnated employee has rewewed and recommended
that the herem described b~ds are the lowest responmble b~ds for the materials, eqmpment, supphes
or servmes as shown m the "B~d Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Councal has promded m the Caty Budget for the appropnatton of funds
to be used for the purchase of the materials, equapment, suppbes or servaces approved and accepted
hereto, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the numbered ~tems m the followang numbered bads for matenals,
eqmpment, supphes, or servaces, shown ~n the "B~d Proposals" attached hereto, are hereby accepted
and approved as being the lowest responmble bads for such atems

specifications, standards, quantmes and for the spemfied sums contained m the Bid Inwtat~ons, B~d
Proposals, and related documents
~ That should the C~ty and persons submattang approved and accepted atems
and of the subnutted b~ds wash to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance,
approval, and awardang of the b~ds, the C~ty Manager or h~s desagnated representative ~s hereby
authorized to execute the written contract whmh shall be attached hereto, provided that the written
contract is m accordance w~th the terms, conditions, specfficataons, standards, quantat~es and
specffied sums contmned m the B~d Proposal and related documents here~n approved and accepted
~ That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items of the
submitted b~ds, the City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor in the amount
and in accordance with the approved bids or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as
authorized hereto
