AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
SCANNING, INDEXING AND CD-ROM PRODUCTION SERVICES, PROVIDING FOR THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID
2345-SCANNING, INDEXING AND CD-ROM PRODUCTION SERVICES AWARDED TO ILM
CORPORATION IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF $42,397)
WHEREAS, the City has sohcated, received and tabulated competitive bads for the
construction ofpubhc works or improvements m accordance w~th the procedures of STATE law and
Caty ordanances, and
WHEREAS, the Clty Manager or a designated employee has received and recommended that
the herean described bads are the lowest responsible bads for the construction of the public works or
improvements described in the bid anvItatlon, bid proposals and plans and specaficataons therein,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the following competitive bads for the constmctaon of publac works or
improvements, as described m the "B~d Invitations", "Bid Proposals" or plans and speeaficat~ons on
file in the Office of the City's Purchasing Agent filed according to the bad number assigned hereto,
are hereby accepted and approved as being the lowest responsable bads

SECTION II That the acceptance and approval of the above compet~tave bids shall not
constatute a contract between the City and the person submitting the bid for construction of such
publac works or improvements herean accepted and approved, untal such person shall comply with
all requarements specified in the Notace to Bidders includang the t~mely execution of a written
contract and furmshmg of performance and payment bonds, and insurance certificate atter
notfficat~on of the award of the bid
$t~CTION III That the City Manager IS hereby authorized to execute all necessary written
contracts for the performance of the construction of the publac works or improvements ~n accordance
wath the b~ds accepted and approved herein, provided that such contracts are made an accordance
wath the Notace to Bidders and Bad Proposals, and documents relating thereto specifying the terms,
condataons, plans and specIficataons, standards, quantatles and specafied sums contained therean
SECTION IV That upon acceptance and approval of the above competitive b~ds and the
execution of contracts for the pubhc works and improvements as authorized here~n, the C~ty Council
hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds m the manner and in the amount as specified in such
approved b~ds and authorized contracts executed pursuant thereto
SECTION V That this or0anance shall become effective ~mmedmtely upon its passage and
approval
