THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNS THEREFORE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (BID 2346
- TUBULAR STEEL TRANSMISSION LINE STRUCTURES AWARDED TO THOMAS & BETTS
CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $420,060)
WHEREAS, the C~ty has sohclted, received and tabulated competitive b~ds for the purchase of
necessary materials, equrpment, supphes or services m accordance w~th the procedures of STATE law and
City ordinances, and
WHEREAS, the C~ty Manager or a designated employee has reviewed and recommended that the
herein described bads are the lowest responsible b~ds for the materials, equ,pment, supplies or services as
shown m the "B~d Proposals" submitted therefore, and
WHEKEAS, the City Council has provided m the City Budget for the appropriation of funds to be
used for the purchase of the materials, equrpment, supplies or services approved and accepted hereto, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS

supphes, or servmes, shown m the "B~d Proposals" attached hereto, are hereby accepted and approved as
being the lowest responsible bids for such atems

and for the specffied sums contamed in the B~d Inmtataons, Bid Proposals, and related documents
SECTION III That should the City and persons submitting approved and accepted ~tems and of the
submitted bids w~sh to enter into a formal written agreement as a result of the acceptance, approval, and
awarding of the b~ds, the City Manager or h~s demgnated representative is hereby authorized to execute the
written contract whmh shall be attached hereto, promded that the written contract ~s m accordance with the
terms, conditions, specifications, standards, quantities and specsfied sums contained in the Bid Proposal and
related documents hereto approved and accepted
SECTION IV That by the acceptance and approval of the above numbered ~tems of the submitted
b~ds, the C~ty Council hereby authorizes the expend~tore of funds therefor in the amount and m accordance
with the approved bids or pursuant to a written contract made pursuant thereto as authorized herein
