WHEREAS, achieving an ISO Class I rating is the result of the department's dedication to maintaining
state-of-the-art equipment, excellent training standards, and consistent emergency
communications,as well as effective collaboration with the City of Denton's water utilities
and dispatch services;and
WHEREAS, this distinguished rating may contribute to lower insurance premiums for homeowners and
businesses,enhancing economic resiliency and quality of life in our community;and
WHEREAS, underscores the Denton Fire Department's unwavering commitment to protecting the lives,
property,and well-being of the residents,businesses,and visitors of Denton;and the City
of Denton recognizes the tireless efforts of the firefighters,support staff,and leadership of
the Denton Fire Department.
NOW,THEREFORE, I,Gerard Hudspeth,Mayor of the City of Denton,Texas,do hereby declare and proclaim
the 16th day of September 2025 as a day to honor and celebrate the Denton Fire
Department for achieving an ISO Class 1 rating.We express our deepest gratitude for their
exemplary service and commitment in keeping our community safe.
