Public Meetings & Agendas | Denton, TX (civicplus.com) General Information & Status Updates A. Watering Restrictions – On Oct. 4, the City lifted Stage 2 watering restrictions, marking a return to normal service levels after the successful repair of two damaged filters at the Lake Lewisville Treatment Plant. The City implemented Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan on August 20, following three consecutive days of exceeding daily water treatment capacity due to the damaged filters. As a result, more stringent water conservation measures were introduced, including a once-a-week outdoor irrigation schedule. With the filter repairs complete, residents and businesses may resume their regular watering schedules listed in the image below. For more information on water conservation tips, the watering schedule, and available resources, visit Water Wise Denton. Staff contact: Dustin Sternbeck, Marketing and Communications B. FindHelp Denton County Progress Report – The FindHelp Denton County digital resource directory launched in November 2023 recently received its third progress report. FindHelp Denton County provides information on free and reduced-cost services in the Denton County area. The report shows that the number of users remained stable in Q3, while the number of interactions users have had with the site increased significantly. The percentage of searches for housing, transit, and food resources also remained consistent. Staff continues to collaborate with Denton County and Lewisville partners to identify and develop specialized assessments within FindHelp to increase use and value of the tool. The third report for the FindHelp Denton County digital resource directory is attached. Staff contact: Courtney Douangdara, Community Services C.
