A.Week of December 23 Friday Staff Report – In anticipation of the holidays and the closure
of City offices during the last week of December, the City Manager’s Office will notdistribute a Friday Staff Report on Friday, Dec. 27. Staff will resume distribution of thereport the following week, on Friday, Jan. 3. Staff contact: Kristi Fogle, City Manager’sOffice
B.Monthly Mobility Report - Innovative Transportation Solutions (ITS) provided a monthlyreport that included an overview of several major regional Texas Department ofTransportation (TxDOT) projects. Responses to Council Member Requests for Information
A.Traffic Evaluation on McKinney Street and Glenngary Way – On Oct. 24, Council
Member Byrd shared a resident’s request for No U-turn and/or No Parking signs near a
business on East McKinney Street. Staff evaluated the site and observed patrons of thebusiness parking on the street instead of using the business parking lot and then u-turningfrom the street to return to the intersection of McKinney Street and Glenngary Way. Toaddress this safety hazard, staff will implement a No Parking / Fire Lane and mark a center
double-yellow line from the business to the first residential driveway south of GlenngaryWay. Staff anticipates this will be completed by Jan. 31. Staff contact: ChandraMuruganandham, Transportation Services
B.Traffic Evaluation for Pedestrian Safety – On Nov. 3, Council Member Holland shared a
resident’s request regarding pedestrian safety on Wind River Lane. Staff evaluated the siteand will add two yellow beacon lights to the existing “yield here to pedestrian” sign toalert vehicles to yield or anticipate pedestrians at the crosswalk. Staff anticipates this willbe completed by Jan. 31. Additionally, staff are evaluating the existing ADA crossingramps in this area for improvement. Staff contact: Chandra Muruganandham,

C.Telecom Utility Boxes – On Dec. 12, Council Member Holland shared a resident’s inquiryregarding utility boxes with wires exposed. Staff investigated and determined that theboxes were telecom boxes and notified the carrier, who reported they had spoken to the

D.Disc Golf Course Basket Relocation – On Dec. 13, Council Member Byrd submitted arequest regarding the safety of the ninth basket for the North Lakes Park Disc Golf Course,located near the intersection of Bonnie Brae Street and Windsor Drive. Staff met with the
Denton Disc Golf Club, and the basket will be relocated by Jan. 10. Staff contact: Ziad

E.Railroad Trestle on Fort Worth Drive – On Dec. 15, Council Member Holland inquiredabout new graffiti on the railroad trestle above Fort Worth Drive. Staff are coordinating
with Union Pacific Railroad to remove the graffiti by Jan. 10. City staff will conduct the
cleaning and will require temporary closure of roadways during non-peak hours. Staffcontact: Farhan Butt, Transportation Services
